Before making this post, I just want to clarify that I know bringing my own appealing issues into DevForum as a newcomer is kind of a selfish move. But after reading some people’s posts about issues that are very related to my case, and they be getting their problems solved while my appeal remains untouched after a very long while (two appeals and follow-ups in 11 days total) and could stay like that until the 30-day duration runs out, which some of the people that already went through this have already mentioned—I decide to write this paragraph.
My main account (lingerphantasm) got banned on March 13, 2026, at 7:47 PM (GMT+7) with the reason “Other” and a Moderator note as “Your account has been moderated for a safety violation of Roblox’s Community Standard”. Although the reason was other and it’s probably impossible to know without any evidence provided, I was banned like 30 minutes after making a shirt with the timeline could be show on the Discord chat, which implying a bot probably have scan my shirt and decide that it had violate the rules
My explanation below was made with the assumption that I was banned due to a misleading image that I used to create a shirt (the left one is the image itself, and the second one is the shirt template that I use). The main reason why I feel confused about this is that I have seen some people using the shirt with a similar template, just changing the character and completely going away with it, while I got terminated with the same clothing made. At this point, you could even easily find that kind of shirt with just the meme name, for example: [dr house - Roblox] (I only typed “dr house” in the search bar, and the shirt below even got a REAL person behind and still available in the marketplace while mine is just a game character and still got banned.)
Moreover, if you try to search in the decals shop, there are even more similar images that does not get deleted or whatsoever, which make it even more absurd for my case (the image is taken from chickenugget7021, he got a similar problem as me so I think it’s fine to take this as an example, link to the post: [Account permanently ban cause of a decal that still could be found currently in roblox creator store decals tab] ).
As you can see, my intention was harmless, and the image I use is purely just a meme that I found on the internet (Reddit platform, source is linked above, very well-known meme in the community). I only made it into a shirt with the thought of just wearing it and showing it to my friends that are also playing the same game. Assuming that the cause of my ban was due to a mislead looking like I was promoting/ glorifying kidnapping, I have now come to realize that my picture might has been misinterpreted very wrongly that looked inappropriate to the AI pov. It was only meant to just be a harmless reference towards the characters “Yin” in Mobile Legends, but after thinking again I believe it may come off looking like an assault scenario. I would like to clarify and explain that it is NOT what I had in mind, nor am I in any way trying to promote it.
In conclusion, bringing my case as an example, I really hope Roblox could do something with previous assets that would be flagged as “rule-breaking” from AI pov. I have to admit I am just a normal player myself and have literally few to zero knowledge about creating stuff, saw the new 2D clothes update, decide to make some shirts for myself before the rules updated and get banned knowing what I made was based on previous accepted examples - it just really awkward. At this point, it’s really hard for rookies like me to try making something without the worry of assets getting accidentally deleted or even worser, account banned without a proper response.
At the end of the day, I would still like to sincerely apologize since I never meant to violate any rules and I respect Roblox’s Community Standard. I also admit that even if it was not my intention to not be harmful it still came out otherwise, as I understand that I might still have some fault in this. I will take responsibility by deleting the harmful contents and will not make any content like this in the future, and I would appreciate being given a second chance for my main account as it’s very meaningful to me.
