Today we’d like to introduce you to Thang Cao and Ryan Zeisig
Hi Thang and Ryan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory. We’re Thang Cao and Ryan Zeisig; we’ve called Colorado home for about 8 and half years. Ryan grew up in Indiana while Thang is from Vietnam. We met each other in 2012 and got married in 2013. In 2016, we relocated to Denver with our toddler who was 1,5 year old and our new born, just 6 weeks old. We truly enjoyed our time in Denver, exploring the mountains, hiking and soaking in the hot springs on our days off, while working diligently. Ryan brings extensive experience in security management, and Thang has a background in HR, hospitality management and the nail industry.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road? Creating Cherry Creek Nail Spa and Sapa Spa and Wellness has been a challenging journey. Since the pandemic, finding qualified staff, especially experienced nail technicians, has been very difficult. However, things improved slightly after the end of 2022. As for the construction of Sapa Spa and Wellness, the process of obtaining permits and completing the construction took significantly longer than anticipated, extending the project to over a year. This has been the most difficult project we have ever undertaken. However, in August 2024, we successfully opened our doors, and now our attention is to sustainably grow our businesses.
We’ve been impressed with Cherry Creek Nail Spa and Sapa Spa and Wellness, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others? In 20218, we took a significant step to purchase half of the salon where Thang was employed. We grew the business and opened another salon in 2020, through the hard time during Covid era. By 2022, we parted away with business partner, became the sole owners of the current nail salon. Ryan and Thang elevated the business by re-branding it as Cherry Creek Nail Spa, reflecting its neighborhood roots. We wanted to do something better for our clients and our staffs by using cleaner products, natural ingredients, as well as supporting local business in an environmental friendly way. We offer varieties of nails services from the basic manicure to trending nail extension with Gel X and builder gel.; we carry non toxic - quickly Dazzle Dry, all natural ingredients homemade sugar scrub, and locally made lotion from Spinster Sisters. Our clients appreciated our new products with 80% being regular, who we truly cherish. Our team has grown from 5 to 12 dedicated, hardworking, and talented individuals over the past two years. In 2023, we embraced a significant change and decided to expand our business. We are passionate about people and their well-being, we love to see our clients and see how happy they are after receiving our services.. Thus, we ventured into wellness sector, aiming to offer various services that will promote both physical and mental benefits. helping people to relax and recharge their energy in today’s busy world. We wanted to create a beautiful sanctuary in the city where people can escape and unplug from their daily hustle and bustle, take a moment, to reset, detox and recharge their energy, rejuvenate their minds and bodies, to feel better and get back to their lives with renewed energy and a sense of well-being. We launched the Grand opening of Sapa Spa and Wellness in Aug 2024, following a year of construction in Cap Hill and we are eager to welcome our clients to enjoy the spa. All of our services are holistically approached, carefully selected based on our personal experience and research to ensure they are truly benefit our users. We offer Salt therapy, Infrared Sauna, Ionic Foot Baths, Red Dao Herbal Foot Baths, and Red Dao Herbal Baths - the only place in the U.S. to provide these services - along with lymphatic massage. Starting in September, we will also host wellness workshops, including Sound Baths and Yoga Nidra in our Salt Chamber. Our hope is to become a Relaxation Destination for clients seeking self-care or looking to treat themselves and their loved ones with wellness gifts.
